Diamond Jubilee

I went up London to visit the queen today for her Diamond Jubilee Celebrations, but unfortunately I didn't get to see her as I left home to late. By the time I got there the mall was closed for the procession, so I ended up in Trafalgar Square which turned out to be really good. There was a very huge screen that we could see the whole event on plus lots of great music and dancing through out the last 60 years.....The mall was eventually opened once the procession  had finished, so we joined the thousands of people and walked as far as we could towards the palace. Unfortunately, the stage from the previous night was blocking the view of the balcony which was a big shame. But, on the positive side we got to see the 18 air crafts including the two King Air planes, a Lancaster bomber plus Spitfires and Hurricanes from the Battle Memorial Flight and best of all nine Red Arrows fly over our heads and the palace :) That was the highlight of the day, I loved it!!!!!! 

Got pie and chips on the way home put my tired feet up and now watching Eastenders, Happy days lol.......
